Jean Massicotte
A prolific producer, composer, and musician, Jean Massicotte has a continuous string of successful collaborations, including Jean Leloup, Lhasa, Arthur H, Pierre Lapointe, Patrick Watson, Boogat, Djely Tapa, Monica Freire, and Ramon Chicharron. In parallel, he composes film scores, notably for Sophie Deraspe's Antigone.
His work has been praised both locally and internationally, as evidenced by the numerous awards and accolades received (Félix, BBC Awards, Victoires de la Musique, Juno, Latin Grammy).
Mônica Freire's album Ilhada won the Félix Award in 2024 in the World Music Album category. Ramon Chicharron’s Niebla did the same in 2025. Djely Tapa's album Dankoroba received the 2025 Juno Award in the Global Music Album category.
Chris Leon
Chris Leon is a sound designer and sound mixer for both picture and music, based in Montreal. He works at the intersection of cinema, television, music, and media arts. His credits include the pioneering series Mohawk Girls (nominated for Canadian Screen Awards, five seasons), The Nature of Things with David Suzuki, SOL by Marie-Hélène Cousineau (winner of the Best Canadian Feature Film Award, RIDM 2015), Walrus and the Whistleblower by Nathalie Bibeau, and Manufacturing the Threat by Amy Miller. He was a finalist for a Canadian Screen Award in the Best Sound category for SOL.
Chris collaborates closely with the Iranian artist and filmmaker Sanaz Sohrabi, signing the sound design for her award-winning experimental documentaries One Image, Two Acts (World Premiere — Rotterdam International Film Festival, 2021) and Scenes of Extraction (World Premiere — Berlinale, 2023).
Alongside his work for picture, he records and mixes music for various artists, ranging from orchestras and jazz ensembles to contemporary and experimental performers. He also directs the recording of vocals and music for numerous projects from Hibiki.
